PCRE itself is a C-library of functions that implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl 5. It is by far the most advanced freeware regular expression library around and also ships with Borland's C Builder. PCRE's Perl 5 syntax supports full substring capturing, case sensitive and insensitive matching, and greedy as well as non-greedy repetition quantifiers.
The RjPcre Delphi port utilizes *.obj files compiled from the original C source and compiles straight into your exe. No DLLs or other files needed.
