Have you ever noticed that in the background of any self respecting Sci-Fi anime movie, there will be a monitor covered in strange
scrolling symbols (usually green), mysterious spinning objects and the odd burst of static or snow? Well, this is my homage to all those movies.. now you can give your own office that "Manga Techno Lab" ambience by installing this screen saver. For an even better effect, dangle some wires from the roof, install some panels of flashing lights and (optionally) a few giant robots. RasterSaver is a free OpenGL screen saver, written as an experiment with blending and TV noise effects. The source code contains examples of blending, texturing and simple ASE file loading. There is also a simple skeleton class that could be used to develop your own screen savers. I recommend an nVidia card for best results. RasterSaver doesn't work on ATI Rage cards, because they don't seem to support the blending modes that it uses. The source code is available, including MS Visual C 6.0 project. Introduction
