前幾天看到此篇文章http://free.tnc.edu.tw/modules/news/article.php?storyid=452 。文章中提到Kylix處於停滯狀態～但又於站上文章http://delphi.ktop.com.tw/topic.php?TOPIC_ID=22730有大陸網友提到Kylix新版本的問題。在此請教一下版主，Kylix會有新版本出現呢？或是Kylix真的會處於停滯狀態？那如果處於停滯狀態，是否可以麻煩您告知是為何原因呢？謝謝！ 程式不是寫來玩的 而是要創造價值

抱歉，我不知道答案，但有點感觸... 個人買了好幾本 Kylix 的書，其中一本 Kylix Developer's Guide 其中一個作者說到，參予 Kylix 工作小組是一件神聖美妙的事，因為可以看到創造的過程。 那本書寫的非常深入且奧妙，習慣在 Windows 平台開發 Delphi 的我看到再 Linux 上這麼與眾不同的內容讓我一度如獲至寶的欣喜不已。< > 但無奈 > 真的希望這樣的產品能有突破性的發展和堅強的生命力，即使自己已經不會再回頭學習她....< >

Kylix Messaging General statement on Kylix and Linux development in general: We have found that the Linux Platform has become more of a runtime deployment vehicle. With Kylix three years ago we made a bet on Linux as a software development platform. We knew that Linux was going to be an explosive technology and would become one of the major platforms out there. What we didn’t know, was whether development was going to happen on the Linux platform. Kylix was designed specifically to enable RAD-style Linux development on the client and this is still is a very embryonic market. Our commitment and leadership in Linux development remains as strong as ever as we continue to offer our customers choice. Linux is a native C environment and development is happening in the C world, as a result we have added broad development support for Linux in C BuilderX. Is Borland discontinuing Kylix? We are not announcing any upgrades to the Kylix environment this year – but continue as usual to take feedback from the community. Kylix was designed three years ago to enable RAD-style Linux development. It is still a very embryonic market as Linux today is primarily recognized as a deployment platform rather than a development platform. This may change in future and Borland will be there supporting what makes sense for our customers. So are you saying that Kylix just isn’t a priority?
