PCM raw data? Wave file has extra header info and most wave file has compressed the data, so it won't suit your need. I guess the file you need is just the 'raw data' without any extra header.

http://www.wotsit.org for file formats. I think it is easier to capture a wave using 3rd party component... I have used a component before, and it record the sound in memory allocated as raw data... I think you should be able to capture sound without compression, saving all the data to a file (no need for any header) should be a raw data file.
